Residents are uniting to help the victims of hurricane maria. This morning an organization looking to help the people of puerto rico is holding a donation drive in oakland. Kron 4s Camila Bernal is live at the jamtown Basketball Center with more on how they plan to help. camila good morning marty, as we have reported, the people of puerto rico are suffering. Many lost their houses. They dont have water, food. Thats why a group of bay area Puerto Ricans formed a coalition called sf for pr. They plan to do as much as possible to send money and donations to the island. Many of these bay area residents have family members in puerto rico who have been directly affected by hurricane maria. Sf for pr is asking people to donate things such as bottled water, canned food, firstaid kits, blankets and more.
