The Crime Suppression Division (CSD) will summon Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit s mother for questioning in connection with bribes given to an official at the Crown Property Bureau (CPB).
Mr Thanathorn is the former leader of the disbanded Future Forward Party and co-founder of the Progressive Movement.
Pheu Thai Party MP and chairman of a House Committee on legal affairs, justice and human rights, Chaiyan Phonsuwan, said the panel met on Wednesday to consider a complaint from former Democrat MP Watchara Phetthong about prosecutors deciding not to indict Thanathorn s brother, Sakulthorn Juangroongruangkit, who is CEO of the Real Estate Development Company in the Chit Lom land lease case.

Sakulthorn Juangroongruangkit, president of Real Asset Development Co and a younger brother of politician Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, on Wednesday insisted he was a victim in a 2019 bribery case.
He has been accused of paying 20 million baht in bribes to two people, one of whom was an official with the Crown Property Bureau (CPB), in a bid to secure a land-leasing contract with the CPB without competing in a bidding process.
A court verdict, dated Nov 27, 2019 said Mr Sakulthorn had paid money three times to defendants.
The first payment was 5 million baht, and after receiving [forged] documents, Mr Sakulthorn then allegedly paid 5 million baht and another 10 million baht to both defendants to process the land lease.

The Crime Suppression Division (CSD) will summons two men convicted in a bribery case involving the Crown Property Bureau (CPB) for questioning after learning that they were released from prison this month, according to a CSD source.
Prasit Aphaiphoncharn, a former Crown Property Bureau official, and Surakit Tangwithoowanich, will be questioned as witnesses after saying they had received bribes from Sakulthorn Juangroongruangkit, CEO of Real Asset Development and a younger brother of politician Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, co-founder of the Progressive Movement.
Both men were sentenced to three years in jail in November last year by the Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases for taking bribes from Mr Sakulthorn and fabricating documents.
