The Ludhiana administration has set up a postal voting centre (PVC) for absentee voters on essential services (AVES) to cast their votes between May 26-28. Voters need to bring a valid identity card to the centre.

Expressing grief over the death of an employee, Gurdeep Singh (46), who died of suspected heart attack while performing poll duty in Khanna (Ludhiana), district election officer-cum-DC Sakshi Sawhney recommended ex-gratia compensation for the family of the deceased. The recommendation has been sent to the Election Commission of India.
