Cab and e-hailing drivers in Nelson Mandela Bay are being stymied from getting a piece of the pie as the Transnet Ports Authority tightens security at the Port Elizabeth Harbour amid a bustling cruise liner season.
The Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) has rejected claims that it kicked out a group of protesting workers employed by one of its contractors on Thursday.
Faeces, sanitary towels and toilet paper are floating in the Port Elizabeth Harbour, causing serious problems for fishermen and an oyster farm.The sewage has been pouring into the harbour and the Baakens River at different points since Wednesday last week.
