Ethiopian megaliths in the Gedeo Sakaro Sodo area have been dated to 1,000 years older than previously believed based on an advanced carbon dating study.

Charcoal samples from the bases of the stones at three sites - Chelba Tututi, Sakaro Sodo and Soditi - were dated by researchers from the Washington State University.
