Nation Day of Prayer

Local church leaders and representatives from the state and the county came together to pray for our nation and community. The Vindicator | Travis Huffman The community gathered together at the east side of the Liberty County Courthouse in the shade of the Live Oak trees last week for the 26th Annual Liberty County Day of Prayer. Multiple church leaders from different denominations came from across the county to deliver messages and to lead the audience in prayer for our nation. A Shofar was blown by Reverend Philip Missick of the King of Saints Tabernacle to begin the call to prayer at the ceremony. Pastor Tony Hines of Hardin Baptist Church then welcomed everyone before introducing Liberty County Judge Jay Knight. Knight proclaimed May 6, 2021, as The National Day of Prayer for the county. He then spoke briefly about the challenges of the last year and read from Psalms 46:10.
