Saints name first ever Fan of the Year

Growing up, Sunday service for Stephanie Williams usually involved the Saints. Not just the ones in church, but also those on the football field. It was a sense of community, said Williams. Sunday was like our family church. You d gather as a family and you d watch the games. But Williams quickly realized that service was truly the foundation behind the Saints football team and began to draw inspiration from the Black and Gold. It s truly, truly more than football. It s the philanthropy of the players, the ownership, the love-thy-neighbor mentality, said Williams. So during the COVID-19 pandemic, and seeing the hardships infiltrated neighbors across Southeast Louisiana, Williams decided to take a line from the Saints playbook and give back. It started with masks for the hospital workers, and then feeding hospital workers and postal workers, said Williams. Then it evolved into Second Harvest.
