The ship s remains are in the water of Saint Simons Sound, off the coast of Georgia, and it has been the subject of a complex salvage effort for more than 18 months. Only about 1000 of the thousands of ruined cars, trucks, and SUVs on board have been removed from the wreck to date.

alive but getting them out is proving to be extremely difficult. we are waiting for the coast guard to give an update on the situation within the hour. know where it held the crewmembers are doing really. the coast guard reports it plans to drill another hole to deliver supplies. it s already been more than 36 hours since crew members on the boat called for help. the ship is to cofootball fields long. it flipped on its side leaving the port of brunswick and saint simons sound 35 miles north of jacksonville. that happened about 2:00 in the morning. it was overnight yesterday. the shipping route now shut down to all traffic, fire and smoke erupted from the boat known as the golden rate after it capsized. the coast guard crews rescued by helicopter but those four crewmembers apparently had no way to get out. they are from south korea in the country and the country s foreign ministry reported they are stuck in an engine room where the temperature is reported to be 90 degrees.
