MILFORD, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Peter Dennis Mauritz, 61, of Milford, so beloved by his large and extended family and friends, died unexpectedly on June 4, 2021, with his Life Partner, Marie Diven, and children, Nick, Tim and Kaitlyn, by his side.
Born in Bridgeport on November 15, 1959, the son of Nancy (Haushill) and the late Richard Mauritz, he grew up in Trumbull and Fairfield, attending St. Catherine of Siena and Fairfield Preparatory Schools, where his love of sports fueled a football career playing both in high school and later at Bucknell University.
A Defensive Tackle on Bucknell s Football Team, he long held a top spot for career sacks, and graduated with his Civil Engineering Degree in 1981.
