Army organises Badminton competition for girls

RAJOURI, Feb 11: Indian Army organised Badminton competition for girls at Kotranka, here today.
The aim of the event was to promote sports among the youth, especially among girls. A total of 36 exuberant girls participated in the tournament, organised for senior category (14 to 18 years) and junior category (below 14 years). The event had started on February 5.
In senior category, team of Mehak Naseer and Mehar Naseer from Budhal won the doubles competition and the singles event was bagged by Saima Naz from Kotranka., whereas in junior category, Yaseen Kouser and Monica Sharma from Budhal won the doubles event, whereas in singles event was clinched by Shaista Kouser from Budhal. Mehak Naseer from Budhal was adjudged as the best player of the tournament.

MARDAN: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the Department of Biotechnology Women University and Association of Biorisk Management to work on bio-risk management and zoonosis control.
The documents were duly endorsed with signatures of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Ghazala Yasmin and the executive director Biorisk Management Asghar Ali.
Dr Saima Naz, assistant professor Department of Biotechnology, coordinated this collaboration for the promotion of research and development by the department.
Prof Dr Ghazala thanked the Association of Biorisk Management for responding to this initiative of linkage between academia and the development sector.
Dr Rakhshinda Sadiq, head of the department, talked about the possibilities of research collaboration and encouraged the students to play their role in this regard.
