Dee cellyman. Come on up. Good morning, supervisors, thank you. I want to my name is dee cellyman, i want to congratulate supervisor farrell and the committee on improving the draft. And i have one piece of text that i feel should be submitted. Changing page 12, line 3. I believe it should be changed as follows i will explain why, rec and parks guidelines for new open space and renovations shall be reviewed and adopted by the rec and Department Park commission. The reason i believe this, that the environmental and Design Guidelines are currently entirely in the hands of rec and park. There is no required review by the rec and park commission, who are in fact the ones tasked with representing the publics viewpoint. This is a very important point, design assumes policies. Let me say that one more time, and let you think about it. Any design assumes policies. What happens if recs and park calls for more grass lands in open spaces and the nonnative trees that they feel less desirable. Shou

The storm began at noon and raised in dramatic intensity and finally when it tapered off that evening. This hurricane was and still is the deadliest natural event in the history of the United States. The destruction pull 28 to 30 million certainly the destructive hurricane. Many buildings did survive with major damage but the death toll is why we remember this event more than anything. It can happen again. Saturday, september 1900, people went to the beach, the rising tides, the rising wind certainly drew them. They watched in amazement as both of these physical factors battered beach front structures. At that time we had been bad house is out of the gulf of mexico and also had peers and even had net huge pavilion called olympia by the see. As the storm increased in intensity, these structures were turned into matchsticks by the hurricane. The problem is people didnt realize this storm would increase so rapidly so they took refuge in their homes. Especially south of broadway they fough
The issue is. People are not required to vote a particular because there are only two parties. Its just much its much more engaging as a result i think if we dislike that in the trendy we would have higher levels of participation. Thats another thing that we dont admit that we really should, that is we have at the most about 60 , 65 of the population voting. We go to other countries and they have 80 . You go to australia and you are required to vote. If you dont vote you are punished. In the United States somehow we want to make it difficult for some people to vote or its not necessary, its not necessarily we want to make difficult. Its that we are coachable and having made it difficult for people who dont have access to a car truck or ben, people who dont have a lot of money in order to take time off from work to engage in a political activity or to even vote. And some of we blame the people as opposed to our electoral system and say, well the fact that, thinking of a case that i liti
