A victory in the game is important for their aspiration to seal the playoffs deal. And Barishal responded terrifically after being sent to bat first.
Opener Saif Hassan paved the platform, hitting a 50 off 43, sending the ball across the rope for eight times.
Utilizing the platform set by Saif, Afif Hossain and Towhid Ridoy went berserk on the Dhaka bowlers to pile up 91 off 39 balls for the undefeated fourth wicket partnership to take Barishal in a zone which looked safe.

DHAKA, Dec 10, 2020 (BSS)âFortune Barishalâs playoffs hope got a setback as they tasted a seven-wicket defeat to a weakened Gazi Group Chattogram in Bangabandhu T20 Cup at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
A win could lift Barishal from the bottom place and also brighten their chance to seal the playoffs. But they couldnât win against a Chattogram side, who fielded a team without four key players, in a bid to test their bench strength.
Barishalâs defeat however gave Minister Group Rajshahi a boost up to reach the playoffs phase but they would have to win their match against Chattogram on Saturday.
