Several reviews of Humane s wearable Ai Pin are now live and, much to the dismay of Ken Kocienda, head of product engineering at Humane, they re collectively less than glowing.
Humane, backed by OpenAI s Sam Altman, is reducing its workforce by 4%, affecting 10 employees. The restructuring is part of a cost-cutting initiative in preparation for the launch of AI Pin, the company s flagship product.
With Ai Pin, the user will be able to communicate with an AI chatbot through voice and laser ink technology, unlike conventional consumer tech products.
Humane s Ai Pin, a wearable computer powered by AI, will start shipping in March 2024. The product prioritizes user access to information and offers voice and laser ink technology for communication.
