Recently, the civic body even failed to notice the conversion of a road in Jayanagar when a builder changed things up as per his personal convenience. A private builder constructed two residential apartment complexes on the 8th Cross in Jayanagar, on both sides of the road. He then took the liberty to redesign the road by adding expensive concrete tiles to it and appointed two security guards to guard it, instead of maintaining it. The authorities can save lakhs of rupees by repairing these vehicles and allocating them to officials for commuting in the city.
