Popularly known as ‘Sahitya Samrat’ which means ‘Emperor of literature’ in Bengali, Chatterjee was the one who modernised Bengali literature. Our national song was taken from his novel ‘Anandamath’. Today, various political leaders took to social media to remember the legendary poet on his birth anniversary. Vice President of India, M.
