The government of Guam will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for I Sagan Finamta’, its CHamoru language revitalization center in Tiyan, at 11 a.m Feb. 22. This is a milestone achievement and partial fulfillment of its mandate to study, collect and record CHamoru-centric and CHamoru information to share with the broader community and archive for future generations, a news release stated.
Prior to the ribbon-cutting, Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero and Lt. Gov. Joshua Tenorio will sign a proclamation and Therese Terlaje, speaker of the 36th Guam Legislature will present a resolution for I Ha’ånen Hula’ Nåna or Mother Tongue Day.
