Willmar Municipal Utilities rebate program saves power
2020 was a good year for the Bright Energy Solutions rebate program at Willmar Municipal Utilities. Over 1.4 million kilowatt hours of electricity was saved, a significant increase over 2019. WILLMAR Willmar Municipal Utilities rebate programs through Bright Energy Solutions continues to pay off, both in the money rebated to customers who install energy efficient lights, appliances and systems in their properties, and in the amount of power saved by those projects. We have almost doubled the amount of savings through our rebate program, said Chris Radel, WMU Energy Safety Outreach Coordinator at the Jan. 11 utilities commission meeting.
