monday. see you then. back here at home tonight and to the deadly shooting on that movie set, now the armorer who was in charge of weapons for the movie rusty kanokogi speaking for the first time through her lawyer and here s abc s kaylee hartung. reporter: tonight, the armorer in charge of all firearms for the western “rust” breaking her silence. saying she “has no idea where the live rounds came from” that killed halyna hutchins. hannah gutierrez-reed s attorneys saying in a statement she s “devastated and completely beside herself.” i was sitting there rehearsing, and it went off, and i ran out. reporter: the statement adding “safety is hannah s number one priority on set.” but describing the challenging conditions the 24-year-old says she was working under. explaining “hannah was hired on two positions on this film, which made it extremely difficult to focus on her job as an armorer. the whole production set became unsafe due to various factors, including
lack of safety meetings not the fault of hannah which raised kwet if there were issues that she know about before, did she bring them to the attention of the production management. we don t know the answer to that question. but we are hearing from the sheriff. he s saying thus far witnesses have been cooperative. but he wanted her to come back in to talk to detectives. take a listen. obviously we will take that statement and i m sure our investigators will have follow up questions and any issues that she s brought to the forefront we ll follow up on those. so we need time to look at the statement and again we encourage miss gutierrez-read to come to our office and do some follow up interview and some clarification. reporter: now law enforcement official tells me that they have asked her lawyer to bring her in for an additional interview thus far they have received an affirmative response to that saying that they ll be in any time soon.
