that has recalled more than eight million vehicles worldwide in just the last four months. brian wilson is live in washington, he has more for us. so these problems, brian, they continue to mount for toyota. what s the latest? reporter: well, another day, another problem for toyota. courtreports that corolla, as yu said, might have a steering problem. u.s. government is looking at it, but toyota is not promising there will be a recall. an executive said today, and i quote, if this will be related to a safety matter, of course we will recall. but if it is not a safety matter, we will work on it in a normal way to handle our customers complaints and give them the advice on how to fix it. but there are other problems. the feds now want documents from toyota, a sign that the government does not believe toyota informed the national highway traffic safety administration about problems in a timely manner, and that could lead to a $16.4 million fine. that pales in comparison to a
