I started going through these things and they are old flapper dresses and the vintage collection of handbags and among this sort of urban treasure wreck was a red leather diary kept by a woman from 1929 to 1934 at the height of the depression and long true fairytale short, ended up tracking down the diarys owner at 90 with the help of a private investigator. And befriending her. She wanted to be a writer. She hosted a literary salon. She was a renaissance woman who had had love affairs with men and women as a young woman.
