Gov. Kay Ivey is giving us the green light as we move into the next phase of reopening. On Wednesday morning, she announced we are leaving the Safer At Home order behind and issued a new Safer Apart order.
The new order essentially makes all those required precautions like capacity, social distancing and masking optional, leaving it up to you to keep yourself safe.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAFF) - Governor Kay Ivey is scheduled to hold a joint press conference Wednesday to provide further updates on COVID-19 and the state’s mask mandate.
Joining the governor at 11 a.m. will be State Health Officer Dr. Scott Harris.
Back on March 4, the Governor announced she did not plan to extend the mask mandate following the current April 9 expiration date.

Los Angeles, Orange counties within striking distance of moving to orange tier
KABC Los Angeles and Orange counties are close to advancing into the orange tier in the state s reopening criteria as the daily COVID-19 case rate continues to fall in those areas.
Both counties moved into the less-restrictive red tier on Monday, and both are eyeing a move into the orange tier in the coming weeks, which would allow the county to lift all capacity limits at retail stores and shopping malls, while raising the allowable capacity at other locations, such as museums, movie theaters, aquariums, churches, fitness centers and restaurants. The orange tier would also authorize a reopening of bars for outdoor service and limited indoor service at wineries and breweries.
As of this weekend, there’s not a single concert listed for the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater in 2021, seemingly a dark mirror to 2020, in which the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the entire season.
That will change Monday with the first announcement, a show slated for June 17, which in addition to being the first named concert, will likely remain the first to happen.
“I think we’re just starting a little bit later, but we’re going to make up for it,” said Stacy Vaughn, director of public services for the city of Tuscaloosa.
