(BEDFORD) – The Bedford Board of Works only received one bid for the Riley Pump Station removal. The lone bid was received by Infrastructures Systems Inc. for a total of $1,707,000. The bids were taken under advisement to be reviewed before the Board of Works accepts the bid.
Bedford Board of Works approved a lease between Safe Haven Boxes Inc. The city will be installing a Baby Box in the near future. Duke Energy has donated towards this project.
In other business:
Accepted the Operation Pullover/DUI Taskforce Grant agreement between the City of Bedford and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. A total of $37,000 will be split between the two agencies.
