One parent wrote: “How many students have been left behind by this stressful situation because they received no support and could not get the assistance they required? How many students will leave school without a qualification?”
We call on educators, parents and students to oppose the reopening of schools for in-person education on February 7 and to take action to demand remote learning.
The meeting took place amid an international wave of school strikes and teachers’ protests reaching from the US to France, Italy, Austria and Greece and gave conscious political expression to this growing mass movement.
