Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar on Wednesday said the fresh revision of electoral rolls in Jammu and Kashmir does not disturb the schedule or conduct part of polls and the poll panel is aware that there is a vacuum in the Union territory which needs to be filled.
SRINAGAR: As Covid-19 cases continue to be on the rise in J&K, a 25-year-old girl from Shankarpora Anantnag was among seventeen patients, who died due to Covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir sine last night, thus taking the total fatalities count in the Union Territory to 2,270.
An official said that seventeen patients who died include 60-year-old man from Naikbagh Natipora, 95-year-old man from Rajbagh, 86-year-old man from Barbarshah, 55-year-old man from Magarmal Bagh, 54-year-old woman from Eidgha, 45-year-old man from Batamaloo, 65-year-old female from Bagh-e-mehtab, 25-year-old girl from Shankarpora Anantnag, 65-year-old male from Shivpora, 65-year-old from Bagh-e-mehtab, 78-year-old man from Safapora Bandipora and six patients die at GMC Jammu after testing positive for Coronavirus.

SRINAGAR: A 32-year-old man was among ten more persons who succumbed to the novel coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said on Monday.
They said that seven of the fresh deaths were reported from Kashmir Valley, including three persons aged between 45 to 60 years. Three deaths due to the virus were reported from Jammu last night.
They said the 32-year-old man from Shopian was admitted on April 15 at SMHS hospital and was suffering with bilateral community acquired pneumonia.
A 45-year-old man from Muslim Peer area of north Kashmir’s Sopore town also died at SMHS hospital, a week after he was admitted with bilateral CAP, the officials told.
