The 2021 Lexus LC 500 Coupe is a stunning car in any configuration, but every year Lexus releases a special edition Inspiration Series that accentuates its beauty even further. In 2019, the first Inspiration Series was finished in Flare Yellow and last year s 2020 Inspiration Series came in Nori Green. The 2021 LC 500 Inspiration Series just made its official debut, wearing a more stealthy shade of dark Obsidian. As with previous Inspiration Series models, only 100 will be produced.
This being a special edition car, it comes with features not found on any other LC model. The black 21-inch forged-alloy wheels, for example, are not found on any other LC. Well, not any LC that you can buy in the United States. Lexus enthusiasts may remember the LC 500 Aviation Edition, which was limited to just 70 units in Japan only. It appears that the new 2021 LC 500 Inspiration Series is identical to the Aviation Edition, but the steering wheel is now on the left.

The 2021 Lexus LC 500 is entering the new year with a new and darker-themed Inspiration Series. Limited to only 100 units, the LC 500 Inspiration Series is only available in Obsidian Black paint, but Lexus has added a couple of performance-enhancing features to sweeten the deal.
First, let’s talk about that magnificent rear spoiler. Lexus claims the new wing (and the 2021 LC 500 Inspiration Series in general) results from a partnership between air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya and Lexus engineers. In 2017, Muroya won the Red Bull Air Race World Championships in a Lexus-prepped Zinko Edge 540 aerobatic aircraft.

Lexus has pulled the wraps off the rather rare 2021 LC 500 Inspiration Series and, unlike its predecessor that only featured a handful of exterior and interior updates, the 2021 iteration takes its design inspiration from aviation racing and features some interesting exterior and mechanical updates.
The new LC 500 Inspiration Series has been designed in partnership with air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya.
