Suspects posing as cops intercepted a firm’s manager after cash withdrawal
DIJKOT:
Swindlers wearing police uniform have looted at least Rs800,000 from citizens in different areas in Dijkot, Punjab.
The SSP operation released photographs of the fraudsters and ordered police personnel to arrest them. According to the police report, the manager of a firm in Saddar Bazaar area of Ghulam Mohammadabad, Mohammad Ilyas was stopped by men dressed as police officers, when he was returning after withdrawing money from various banks.
The men told Ilyas that they had found Rs95,000 at the place and asked him if the money was his. Thus the suspects made him check money in front of them.
