India News: NASHIK/PUNE: As many as 9,928 children and teenagers aged under 18 have tested positive for Covid-19 in Ahmednagar district in May, said district coll.
Sachin Solat, a member of the district paediatric task force, said the figures were not at all alarming as far as children and teenagers getting infected in the district were concerned. “The number was around 11.5% of the total Covid cases registered in May in the district, which is acceptable. There is nothing unusual about it,” he said.

paediatric task force, said there was nothing alarming about almost 10,000 children and teenagers testing positive for Covid in the district in May. “The number was around 11.5% of the total Covid cases registered in the month in the district, which is acceptable. There is nothing unusual about it,” he said.
According to Solat, over 96-97% of the children and teenagers infected in May were asymptomatic. Citing an example, he said that of the 350 Covid patients presently undergoing treatment at the civil hospital, only six were aged under 18.
