The National Union of Metalworkers SA has called for the resignation of Comair CEO Glenn Orsmond after the SA Civil Aviation Authority indefinitely suspended Comair's air operator certificate, grounding Kulula.com and British Airways flights.
A spokesperson for the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) said it had extended a 24-hour precautionary suspension of Comair's operator certificate indefinitely.
In a statement released by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA), the Air Operator Certificate of Comair (Pty) Ltd, with its subsidiary Kulula.com and British Airways, has been suspended.
