A committee voted to add youth seats on boards and commissions instead of creating a new advisory liaison for the City Council as planned back in December.
A city resident between the age of 16 and 24 could advise the Sacramento City Council as soon as next year. The liaison would sit at the dais with council members during meetings, but would not have a vote.
