Dave Faries here, noting that Giving Tuesday is now behind us. But in Monterey County and elsewhere, the charitable spirit thrives throughout the year.
More than 20 volunteers helped serve food to guests, piling plates with turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, corn and cranberry sauce and a slice of pie. Guests were also given a to-go lunch for later.
"We always look at the circumstances, and if we can make people feel just a little better when they leave our restaurant,” said Shake, “we’ve had a good day.”
