On Saturday, July 3 the Jaramillo family was on a raft on the Raging River at Adventureland. Their raft flipped and several family members were injured. David and Sabrina Jaramillo s 11-year-old son Michael died from the accident, and their 16-year-old son David Jr. was left in critical condition. It s an unimaginable nightmare that no family should have to endure.
Some good news has emerged for the family as Michael s brother David Jr. seems to be showing signs of recovery, according to KCRG. David Jr. is being treated at Blank Children s Hospital in Des Moines. The Jaramillo family s pastor shared a photo of parents David and Sabrina standing by their son s bed saying it captured the moment their son was first aware of their presence.
