Bauchi State High Court 1 has sentenced two persons, Adamu Abdulra’uf and Abdulkadir Wada to 35 years’ imprisonment each for causing grievous hurt and attempting to commit culpable homicide on a six-year-old girl. | Pulse Nigeria
A High Court in Bauchi State on Tuesday sentenced two men to 35 years in prison each for cutting off the genitals of a six-year-old girl, Hauwa'u Ya'u. The Bauchi Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar handed down the sentence to Adamu Abdulra’uf, 20, and Abdulkadir Wada, 21 after they pleaded guilty as charged. The convicts were arraigned in 2021 on three counts bordering on criminal conspiracy, causing grievous hurt and attempting to commit culpable homicide on the girl. The incident happened in the Jama'are Local Government Area of the state.

A man, Rabo Muhammadu, of Guggu Village in Nabordo District of Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State has been dragged to Court by the Ministry of Justice in the state for alleged kidnapping and raping a married woman several times.
He was arraigned before Justice Aliyu Baba Usman of the Bauchi State High Court Number Four on Thursday.
The Deputy Director in Charge of Litigations in the Ministry, Sabiu Gumba, told the Court that the offence was contrary to section 3 (1) and section 10 of the kidnapping law and punishable under section 11 of the kidnapping, theft of cattle and rape special provision law 2017.
