Bengaluru, Mar 8: All districts of Karnataka will now have a gaushala as CM B S Yediyurappa on Monday announced provisions for the same in the state Budget.
He also added that to encourage ayurvedic medicine in veterinary science, a new research institute at a cost of Rs 2 crore will be set up at Veterinary College, Shivamogga.
In the Budget, the chief minister spared citizens by not announcing any new taxes while presenting the state Budget 2021.
During the Budget Speech, he said, I am not willing to put the burden of additional taxes on the common people. State Government levies Karnataka Sales Tax (KST) on petrol and diesel. This is already lesser compared to other southern states.

Terror accused surgeon Dr Sabeel Ahmed, who was deported from Saudi Arabia last year, was sent to judicial remand till March 31 by a Delhi court on Wednesday.
Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana sent Ahmed to judicial custody after he was produced before the court. “Considering the nature of allegations and intricate nature of Investigation, accused Sabeel Ahmed is remanded to judicial custody till 31.03.2021,” the order read.

National Investigative Agency (
NIA) filed a supplementary chargesheet before a special court here on Monday against two terrorists of proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) for their involvement in a
conspiracy to commit subversive activities and wage a war against India.
The NIA in a statement said that arrested terrorists were also involved in the
killing of key personalities of the Hindu community in the country.
The chargesheet was filed against two LeT terrorists Dr Sabeel Ahmed of
Bengaluru and Asadulla Khan of Hyderabad under sections of the India Penal Code (IPC) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

New Delhi, Feb 23: The National Investigation Agency on Monday filed a supplementary against Dr. Sabeel Ahmed and another person in connection with a terror conspiracy case.
Part of a Lashkar-e-Tayiba, the duo along with others were planning on killing Hindu leaders in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Telangana. Ahmed is the brother of Kafeel Ahmed, who was the Glasgow bomber. Both sons are from a affluent family, highly educated, lived in a plush locality of Bengaluru.
