Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Zakat Centre (PZS) has surpassed its RM90 million-target for zakat collection this year with RM92,473,417.72 collected as of Dec 17.

Special Tasks Minister Datuk Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif (pic) said that from the zakat collection, RM83,616,889.89 have been distributed to the asnaf group as of Dec 17, which also surpassed its target to distribute RM80 million to the asnaf.
“Nine State Government-link Companies (GLC) have made their business tithes amounting to RM5,480,108.95, whereas 16 Federal GLCs have made their business tithes amounting to RM12,293,887.05
He said this during question time at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting, here, Tuesday.
