City Hall (DBKK) has decided to move the existing car rental (yellow roof) operations at Jalan Padang to KK Sentral Building.
Its Head Director Junainah Abbie said this was agreed during the Kota Kinabalu District Development Action Committee meeting on June 3, upon the Sabah Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board’s (LPKP) recommendation.
“This is to provide a more systematic and organised management for operators and yellow roof car rental passengers in the city.
“The decision took into account existing conditions of the parking area in Jalan Padang, which is under the hot sun and lacks facilities compared to the KK Sentral Building which provides better and more comfortable infrastructure,” she said
Sabah LPKP and DBKK organised an engagement session with the car rental operators as well as simulation programme at the KL Sentral building on July 7.
