Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) urged the Sabah State Government to follow Sarawak’s move of changing the term “Chief Minister” to “Premier” which clearly shows Sarawak is heading towards greater autonomy.
Paying highest tribute to the Sarawak Government for successfully getting the change of the term passed in the Legislative Assembly (DUN), Sabah Bersatu Information Chief, Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, said this move puts Sarawak as no longer just “equal partners” with other states in Malaysia.
“This clearly shows the status of Sarawak which is heading towards greater autonomy. Sabah Bersatu recommends the Sabah State Government follow such action that can realise the hopes of our former key leaders like the late Tun Mustapha and Tun Fuad Stephens during the establishment of Negara Malaysia
