CEBU CITY – The Archdiocese of Cebu will not hold religious activities that may attract mass gatherings during the observance of the Holy Week.
Fr. Japeth Geonzon, vice chair of the Archdiocese’s Commission on Worship, said Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma has released guidelines in connection with the Holy Week observance.
Geonzon said that unlike in previous years, there will be no foot procession in the entire observance of the Holy Week. Holding of Station of the Cross will still be allowed but only with limited attendants.
Geonzon said it will be up to the owners of private pilgrim sites such as the Q Park in Compostela, Cebu and Good Shepherd in Cebu City if they will open their facilities to the public.
