A TEENAGER has been arrested after he allegedly slashed his 74-year-old neighbour with a machete, Harian Metro reported.
Sibu OCPD Asst Comm Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the incident happened at 8.30am last Friday, when the victim was weeding near a drain.
ACP Stanley said the incident was allegedly triggered when the victim asked the 15-year-old, “Whose son are you?”.
“The suspect came from the garden at the side of the victim’s house, and he slashed the woman’s hand and later stabbed her neck using a machete.
“The suspect did not say anything and the victim, who was in fear, screamed, ” said ACP Stanley, adding that the victim suffered injuries on her neck, right arm, fingers, chest and knees.
