they were traveling at about 12,000 feet, and usually using visual flight rules rather than radar or sensitive instruments. so i think given the news that the dutch haven t found anything, aviation officials all over europe will be privy to that information and they ll make their own decision in the future not, i think, based just on the dutch word for what they found on the test. they ll probably take into consideration the german results as well. but i m not so sure that they ll be convinced that it is safe to fly because there are scientific planes still going up every day, turboprops, who i have seen on television, engineers traveling on those flights have said they would not fly a commercial jet through that cloud at the moment, alex. and there s just no way of getting around it or flying at lower altitudes. i mean, all options are being exhausted? reporter: well, i think to fly at lower altitudes, you can only do it with visual flight rules. that means flights only
