India is aiming to launch 50 satellites in next five years for geo-intelligence gathering which will include the creation of a layer of satellites in different orbits with a capacity to track the movement of troops and image thousands of kilometers of area, ISRO Chairman S Somanath has said.
India has asked the G20 nations to contribute to the G20 satellite proposed by it through payloads, instruments and it will be launched in the next two years, ISRO chief S Somanath has said.
The Sun-Earth Lagrangian Point L1 is 1.5 million km from Earth, and Aditya L1 was expected to reach its destination after a 125-day journey. It will study the Sun s outer atmosphere without any interference from eclipses or external disruptions.
Speaking how ISRO plans to launch Indian Space Station by 2035, beginning with phase one in 2028 and ultimately landing humans on moon by 2040 with Gaganyaan, Somanath expressed requirements of research collaborations.
