Nagaland: Aggrieved nurses call off sit-in dharna; Yimkhiung Akheru Arihako supports

Dimapur, Nov. 18 (EMN): The Department Recruited Aggrieved Nurses (DRAN) 2021 has called off its sit-in dharna following assurance from the Health minister, S Pangnyu Phom, to look into their problem. An update from DRAN informed that its representatives had an in-depth discussion on its grievances with the Health minister, who assured all possible assistance and early release of the pending salaries. DRAN added that it has decided to suspend its ongoing dharna on the request of the Health minister. DC Mokokchung informs on CMHIS Dimapur, Oct. 19 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, Sashank Pratap Singh, has informed that a beneficiary enrollment drive for Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) will commence from October 18 to the 31st at the registration centre located at DC office. According to a DIPR report, KYC documents will be mandatorily required to enroll for general category (including employees without PIMS number, contractual, adhoc, fixed pay employees of the state and contractual employees under various CSS, with IIC and/or PRC) under the scheme. It will also require indigenous inhabitant certificate (IIC) or permanent residential certificate (PRC) issued by the district administration after 2016; valid mobile number and ration card number for ration card holders. PHC Namching gets ambulance service - Eastern Mirror

Dimapur, Oct. 17 (EMN): A dedication programme of new ambulance service at PHC Namching under the establishment of the chief medical officer (CMO), Longleng, was held on October 14. The ambulance was provided by the department of Health and Family Welfare. An update from the CMO’s office stated that the programme was attended by medical staff of PHC Namching, HCMC chairman and committee members, council members of Hukhphang, Pongching, Mongtikang, Lingtak, Oulam and Namching villages, pastors, GBs and DBs and Namching Hung Students’ Union members and other dignitaries of the area. Our CorrespondentKohima, Oct. 14 (EMN): The Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CHIMS), a state-specific welfare scheme aimed at providing universal health coverage to the citizens of Nagaland, was launched at the State Banquet Hall in Kohima on Friday. Launching the ambitious scheme, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio described the occasion as a ‘red letter day’. “People of the state will have an assurance of better access to healthcare services than they had ever before,” he said. “Many a time, such expenditure is not within the means of the family and as such the only way out was to resort to borrow from friends, relatives or in many cases from money lenders in order to pay. Dimapur, Oct. 12 (EMN): Office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Longleng, held a dedication programme to mark the launch of a new ambulance for PHC Yongnyah on October 9. The new ambulance was provided by the department of Health and Family Welfare.
