Despite the cessation of attacks by pro-Iran militias in Iraq, the US remains cautious, deploying drones for both surveillance and potential targeting purposes.
"This trajectory compels the Iraqi government more than ever to terminate the mission of this coalition," Yahya Rasool, Iraq's military spokesperson, said.
The US-led international military coalition said in a statement that it had conducted 'an operational exercise… that involved engaging an Unmanned Aerial System' at Iraq's Ain Al-Asad air base as part of a training exercise.
