Conway leaders have taken a final vote that will allow a proposed development off U.S. 701 to bring more than 3,300 new residences to the city over the next two decades.
Conway city leaders on Monday voted to annex and rezone more than 1,700 acres near U.S. 701 South. The Warden Station Tract request will need a second favorable reading before it’s finalized.
The proposed project, also known as the Warden Station Tract, could bring 1,763 acres of property into the city near Highway 701 South and Pitch Landing Road in Conway. Developers have proposed 3,200 units that include houses, townhouses and multifamily dwellings.
Two large-scale projects — which are moving through the formal process of potentially being annexed — could come to the city of Conway, bringing hundreds of residential units.
