Ontario’s government is extending the provincewide stay-at-home order for an additional two weeks until at least June 2 with outdoor amenities and schools staying closed in the meantime.
The announcement comes with current stay-at-home and lockdown measures set to expire on May 20.
The stay-at-home order requires everyone to remain at home except for specified purposes, such as going to the grocery store or pharmacy, accessing health care services (including getting vaccinated), for outdoor exercise, or for work that cannot be done remotely.

Ontario is just nine days away from the end of the current provincial stay-at-home order, but it is still not clear what restrictions, if any, will be lifted when the order expires.
Premier Doug Ford and his cabinet will have to meet in the coming days to discuss what the next steps for the province will be. The end date for the current stay-at-home measures is May 20.
Some reports indicated the Ford government would be meeting on Monday to talk about a possible extension of the order. The Premier’s office confirmed to 680 NEWS that a stay-at-home order extension is not on Monday’s agenda.

On Saturday, socialite and philanthropist Suzanne Rogers shared a series of Stories on her Instagram account showing her and her family at Mar-A-Lago, Donald Trump’s resort in Florida. One of the Stories showed Rogers (with her husband, Rogers Communications chairman Edward Rogers, and her two sons) posing with Trump as he gave his signature thumbs-up to camera. She captioned the all-smiles photograph: “A special way to end the night!”
The backlash to the posts was almost instantaneous, and continues to reverberate through Canada’s tight-knit fashion community, and beyond. On Tuesday afternoon, Rogers issued a statement, saying in part: “No political statement, on any policy was intended by that photograph,” after an explanation that she has no relationship “good or otherwise” with Trump, had never met him before and they only took the photo “in me
