Senate ratifies election results, elects new Senate president

Minority Party members are losing representation in Student Government after the Gator Party won the executive ticket, which includes the Student Body president, vice president and treasurer positions. Gator also gained a supermajority in Senate, holding about 80 of the 100 seats.
According to the Senate roster, minority parties Change and Inspire, Independent candidates and members not specifying party affiliation now collectively hold about 16 total seats. The UF Student Government Spring election will take place in-person on Feb. 23- 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at six campus voting sites listed on the SG website.
Students can vote at the Reitz Union Computer Lab, the Social Lounge at Southwest Recreation Center, the Broward Hall Recreation Room, the Murphree Area Office Conference Room, the Springs Office Conference Room or the Cypress Meeting Room.
