There was high drama outside the white house late this afternoon when a confrontation between secret service and arnold man ended in gunfire. The secret service said an officer opened fire on the man wounding him after he approached a security checkpoint and pulled out a firearm. This all happening in play view of sightseers along the perimeter of the white house grounds and sent heavily Armed Secret Service teams fanning out as the white house was placed on a security lockdown.
