The School of the Osage Indians went 1-for-3 in state title matches Saturday night in the Class 2 state wrestling championships at Mizzou Arena. Chase Cordia won his second career state title, taking a 5-2 decision against Camden Meeks of Blair Oaks in a matchup of Tri-County Conference opponents.

Helias tops Capital City, Osage on Senior Night

For Helias wrestling coach Weston Keleher, Tuesday night’s Senior Night had a little something extra special. “This is a special group to me, they’ve been with me for four years,” Keleher said of the eight seniors who were honored between dual victories against Capital City and School of the Osage at Rackers Fieldhouse.

Two Mid-Missouri wrestlers take Class 2 State Championship titles

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Four local wrestlers represented Mid-Missouri in the MSHSAA Class 2 State Wrestling Championship finals on Thursday and two of them claimed championship titles. Helias Jack Lage in the 120-pound weight class finished a perfect 34-0 season with a win over Ryker Smith from Cameron.  Lage said he made a promise to his late grandfather that he would win it all.
