Two of Carroll County’s elected officials are changing political parties. County Attorney Nick Marsh and Sheriff Ryan Gosser are changing their affiliation to the Republican Party from the Democratic Party. In separate interviews, both said the national Republican Party agenda aligns more with their personal beliefs. “It’s time,” Marsh said, “I am always conservative but consider myself to be in the conservative middle. I feel better with the alignment of the national Republican Party.”
