Iowa Great Lakes Chamber Calls Walleye Weekend a Success

Arnolds Park, IA (KICD)– The 39th Annual Iowa Great Lakes Walleye Weekend is being considered a success by local officials.
Although a tagged walleye was not caught over the weekend and the 39-thousand grand prize not awarded, the size of the crowd was record-breaking at this year’s Walleye Weekend with more than 22-hundred anglers from 20 different states taking part in the various contests.
Among the weekend winners for heaviest fish are Jared Fuller, Leonard Schiller , Laef Lundbeck and Ryan Gilson.
Plans are already in the works for the 40th Annual Walleye Weekend which is set for May 7-8, 2022.
