A Valley View School District teacher faces charges after investigators said they found child pornography, lewd images of the teacher in different rooms of the school and pictures of students unaware they were being photographed.
Jaime Ryan Chorba, 44, 120 N. Cougar Drive, Archbald, who teaches health and physical education in the district, was charged with nine counts of possession of child pornography, two counts dissemination of child pornography and two counts of criminal use of a communication facility.
It was unclear late Wednesday if Chorba was free on bail.
According to a criminal complaint, detectives received three cybertips related to Chorbaâs accounts. Investigators with the Lackawanna County District Attorneyâs Office and the Northeast Computer Crime Unit searched his devices and found thousands of images of pornography, including some child pornography. Investigators also found seven videos containing child pornography in a folder labeled âguys.â
